The Tulare County Association of Realtors introduced its new chief executive officer this week.
Gene Binsbachar replaces Karl Hampton, who retired last month after 15 years, the association said.
Binsbachar started on June 27. He was previously chief executive vice-president of the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors overseeing more than 6,000 real estate professionals.
In Visalia, Binsbachar will work with a smaller group of about 850 members.
“We think we’ve got a strong replacement that’s been there and done it,” said Mark Avedian, the association president. “I think we’ll be in good hands.”
Hampton finally retired after years of threatening to do so, but never actually taking the plunge, Avedian said.
“He wanted to do things in life still and he wanted to be healthy and able to do it, so this gave him the opportunity,” Avedian said. “We’re happy for him. We miss him.”
