Real Estate: Pearson Commercial partners with global company, changes name

One of Fresno’s commercial real estate firms has announced a new partnership with a global company headquartered in New York City.

Pearson Commercial, which has offices in Fresno and Visalia, has partnered with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, a commercial real estate advisory company that employs more than 11,000 people and operates more than 340 offices worldwide.

Pearson will now do business as Newmark Grubb Pearson Commercial.

“I know I speak for everyone at our firm when I say we are very excited about this partnership and believe the added breadth and depth of real estate capabilities will greatly benefit our present and future clients,” said John Stewart, Pearson’s president and chief executive officer.

Pearson has operated in the Central Valley for a nearly a century. It’s brokers and real estate professionals specialize in office, medical office, industrial, retail and investment properties. The company also handles the buying and selling of land for commercial and residential development.

The partnership will allow the local office to access Newmark’s global resources and relationships.

Newmark Grubb Knight Frank is part of BGC Partners, Inc., a global brokerage company. The Newmark brand was created in 2012 when BGC acquired Newmark Knight Frank and the assets of the Grubb & Ellis company.
